Plagiarism can change your life!
Depending upon the instructor and school, a
plagiarizing student might fail the assignment, the course, or -- be expelled permanently from the school. Sometimes
the student's transcript carries this blemish to all future schools.
Is this something you want to avoid? YES!
But, you know friends who have gotten away with plagiarizing and they are getting better grades than you. Shouldn't
you try it? NO!
It's nearly impossible to get away with plagiarism these days.
Your instructors have access to the same on-line materials
you do. But, what you may not know is they have access to Plagiarism Detection Websites--often the very same site where
a student buys a paper. The Paper Mill/Plagiarism Site sells these services to both student and professor. Not very
scrupulous, but they are in the cheating business!
A suspicion of plagiarism can be investigated and proven within less than a minute.
Why take the chance? Because
chances are a student who plagiarizes will be detected.
Protesting ignorance at the college level usually fails--so
you have to know how to avoid it.
